From Hamamatsu-Nishi Interchange, drive southeast along Prefectural Route 65 for approximately 5 km (about 15 minutes).
Please enter through the main gate of Shizuoka University and register your visit at the security office.
Available parking spaces are located in front of the Photonics Innovation Research Center building.
By public transportation:
From platforms 15 or 16 at the north exit bus terminal in front of JR Hamamatsu Station, take any bus line and get off at “Shizuoka University.”
Travel time is approximately 20 minutes, with about 10 buses per hour.

Our Story
PaPaLaB’s technology was born from a chance reunion with a mentor.
Several years after the company’s founding in 2001, a chance reunion—after 20 years—between the founder, who was pursuing higher-resolution camera technology, and his former mentor, Professor Shimodaira, marked the beginning of the development of PaPaLaB’s 2D color measurement systems.
In the early 2000s, when the concept of telemedicine was not yet widely recognized, PaPaLaB began research on color-accurate cameras to support the realization of remote medical applications.
