Tabletop 2D Color Measurement System PPLB-440
#High Precision
#Benchtop
The PPLB-440 is an image-based color analysis system consisting of a measurement unit and dedicated software.
The software instantly calculates color distribution, L*a*b* values, and ΔE from captured images. Because measurement results are presented as both numerical data and images, users can quickly understand the condition of the sample and make informed decisions immediately after measurement.
This provides a seamless workflow from measurement and visualization to evaluation and decision-making.
From image capture to measurement, the entire process takes only a few seconds.
No specialized operation or complex setup is required, making the system easy to operate.
Results can be checked quickly at the point of measurement, helping improve workflow efficiency.
The camera-based system analyzes the entire captured image at once. Any area of interest within the image can then be freely selected for measurement.
Localized color unevenness and subtle differences can be identified from a single captured image.
☑ ROIs (Regions of Interest) can be freely positioned anywhere within the image.
☑ Multiple ROIs can be created and saved for easy reanalysis and comparative measurement.
Measurement results can be stored and managed as both images and numerical data.
Images can be saved under user-defined file names, while numerical measurement data can be logged and exported in CSV format.
By keeping images together with measurement values, results can be shared as objective, traceable records that can be reviewed, compared, and reanalyzed by different users.
☑ Images can be saved using user-defined file names.
☑ Measurement values can be logged and exported in CSV format.
☑ Saved data can be reloaded for comparison and reanalysis.
Conventional RGB cameras capture color according to their own spectral sensitivity characteristics. Because these characteristics differ from human visual sensitivity, the recorded color may not always correspond closely to human visual perception.
Spectrophotometers, on the other hand, can precisely measure spectral reflectance across a range of wavelengths. However, because they typically perform point-based measurement, they do not capture the spatial distribution of color and unevenness across an entire surface in a single measurement.
PaPaLaB’s 2D color measurement system uses proprietary optical filters designed to approximate the spectral sensitivity of human vision. This helps the system capture and quantify color across an entire surface with spectral sensitivity designed to approximate human vision.
As a result, subtle differences in appearance and color unevenness that have traditionally been difficult to quantify can be evaluated using both images and numerical data.

Color and Pattern Inspection System
PPLB-240
A camera-based 2D color measurement system designed for large-format samples that are difficult to evaluate with conventional measurement instruments, such as printed materials, building materials, and other samples larger than A3.

High-Resolution Color Sensor
RC-4000
A camera-based color sensor for high-precision quantification of color and surface appearance. It supports color analysis across the entire measurement area and measurement history management, helping improve quality control and digital workflows. The sensor can also be integrated into inspection systems.
